[Full-time] Volunteer in a Nepalese Orphanage at Experience Himalayan Nepal

Everyone has heard in the past about making a real difference if you volunteer, give money or your old itmes for resale. But here is a project where you will actually make a difference. Trisuli orphanage was set up to help the children in the area North of Kathmandu in a small town called Trisuli. Being the only one of its kind there it soon became hard to survive and was almost forced to close making the children homeless. Until Experience Himalayan Nepal stepped in, we have taken this orphanage under our wing, arranged sponsorship for the home and now are pushing to make this the best orphanage in Nepal. Placement Location – The location for this placement is a village in the foothills of Nepal about 70 Kms North of Kathmandu in the local town of Trisuli, famous for the start of some of the best white water rafting and trekking. Being on the side of the river it offers the volunteer many interesting places to visit and the opportunity to enhance the Nepalese culture and Society outside of city life.

Accommodation – Will be provided by the local families in the area with each one carefully selected so at least one member of the family speaks good English in order that you can communicate effectively. Also you will find that the local families in the home stay programme have been chosen because they also have good standing in the community and can introduce you to the traditional Nepalese village life.
